Cálculo numérico e calculadoras gráficas: construindo conceitos relacionados ao Polinômio Interpolador de Lagrange / Numerical Calculus and Graphing Calculators: Building Concepts Associated with the Lagrange Interpolating Polynomial

Resumo

Este artigo apresenta um recorte das investigações realizadas acerca da incorporação dasTecnologias da Comunicação e Informação (TIC) ao currículo dos cursos de Licenciatura emMatemática. Tem-se como foco principal o desenvolvimento de atividades relacionadas à inserçãoda calculadora HP 50g no contexto educativo do Cálculo Numérico, tomando-se a seguintepergunta diretriz: Como as tecnologias informáticas, em particular o uso da calculadora HP 50g,podem contribuir para o estudo de conceitos relacionados ao Polinômio Interpolador de Lagrange?Considerando a interação entre calculadoras gráficas e o usuário o elemento central da investigação,o conjunto de informações provenientes das falas, gestos, interações entre as pessoas, interaçõescom a calculadora, constitui-se na principal fonte de dados, o que coloca a investigação sob umaperspectiva qualitativa. Com os argumentos apontados ao longo do artigo, objetiva-se dar indíciosde potencialidades da utilização da calculadora HP 50g no ensino e aprendizagem desse conteúdoespecífico.

This paper presents part of the investigations carried out on the integration of Communicationand Information Technologies (CIT) to syllabi of Mathematics Teacher Education. The mainfocus is the development of activities that cover the introduction of the calculator HP 50g in theeducational context of Numerical Calculus, based on the following guideline: In what way docomputer technologies, especially the use of the calculator HP 50g, contribute to the developmentof concepts associated with the Lagrange Interpolating Polynomial? Considering the interactionbetween graphic calculators and the user as the central element in this investigation, the bodyof information generated from verbal communication, gestures, interaction between people, interactions with the calculator becomes the main data source, which puts the investigation in aqualitative perspective. The arguments set forward in this study substantiate the potentialities ofusing the calculator HP 50g in the teaching and learning of this specific content.
